Performing groups can choose from many different workshops in both theatre and dance, perform on a stage in front of hundreds of resort guests, share group dining experiences, and enjoy Walt's original Disneyland Park and also Disney's California Adventure.  And as one of Disney's "Top Travel Planners" for dance and theatre groups, we have the ability to let parent's create a vacation experience in conjunction with the performance tour.

 Workshops

Under the guidance of entertainment professionals your students will develop fundamentals, reinforce performance concepts and fine‐tune techniques with a fun hands-on sessions in vocal, dance or theatre. 

ACTING 101
Designed for all levels of actors, this 90-minute workshop provides students with the building blocks of theatre, while exploring performance and storytelling techniques. Led by an industry show director or improvisational actor, the course focuses on tapping into the artist's unique voice, thereby discovering the tools to develop performance abilities. Students also learn to build character, develop improvisational skills, and maintain professionalism on the stage. Your group will engage in interactive discussions and acting exercises as they:

Master the building blocks of basic theatre, performance and storytelling techniques.
Use scene study as a vehicle for introducing and building character.
Practice improvisational skills while discovering how to maintain professionalism on stage. 

ACTING 201
Created for the intermediate to advanced actor, this 90-minute course challenges performers to take risks, make quick decisions, tackle cold reading material, and elevate audition skills so unique talents stand out. Whether auditioning for Broadway, Disney, or local theatre, the same important skills apply - and this class empowers students to shine while holding true to their voice.  Your group will engage in interactive discussions and acting exercises as they:

Master the building blocks of basic theatre, performance and storytelling techniques.
Use scene study as a vehicle for introducing and building character.
Practice improvisational skills while discovering how to maintain professionalism on stage.
Learning how to think and act spontaneously and assertively, no matter what the situation, is an ability that will serve any student well on stage—and beyond. 

AUDITIONS & CAREERS: ACTING
Performers see what it's like to undergo the audition process but with one critical difference: the show director will stop to critique your audition and provide helpful pointers to improve your technique and boost your chances of success.  During this 90-minute session, your theatre ensemble will be cast then put through the paces as they:

Rehearse and perform a scene from a Disney production.
Learn tricks of the trade that make performances sparkle.
Discover how you can increase your odds of landing a role as a professional actor!
At its conclusion, you'll watch your group's performance on video in the studio and receive feedback from your instructor. 

DANCE AUDITION WORKSHOP
Intermediate to advanced dance ensembles experience an audition like no other – one where the show director and choreographer critique the performances and give advice on how to land jobs as professional dancers. Once your group members are "cast," they rehearse choreography from a Disney production and are given the tricks of the trade to make their performances sparkle. The 90-minute workshop culminates with a final performance that is recorded and reviewed by Disney professionals. During this 90-minute session, your dance group will be cast then put through the paces as they:

Rehearse choreography from a real Disney production.
Learn tricks of the trade that make performances sparkle.
At its conclusion, you'll watch your performance on video right there in the studio and get a taste of the life of a professional Disney dancer.  

MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION WORKSHOP
Intermediate to advanced musical theatre ensembles experience an audition like no other – one where the show director critiques the performances and gives advice on how to land jobs as professional musical theatre performers. Once your students are "cast," they learn a scene from a Disney production and are shown the tricks of the trade that make performances shine.  During this 90-minute session, your show choir or musical theatre ensemble will be cast then put through the paces as they:

Rehearse and record a Disney number with vocals and movement.
Learn tricks of the trade that make performances sparkle.
Sing, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
Listen to, analyze and describe music.
Evaluate music and musical performances.
Gain an understanding of the relationships between music, other arts and disciplines outside the arts.
Examine music in relation to history and culture 

CAREERS IN COSTUMING
Created for high school and college theatrical costuming and fashion teams, this 90-minute interactive workshop explores the varied kinds of work to be found as a theatrical costumer or fashion designer. Led by award-winning costumers, students are shown samples of elaborate Disney costume designs and given tours of rarely-seen production facilities, as they learn what it takes to become a professional in this multi-faceted industry. Students will learn from an award-winning costumer, as they:

Engage in a dialogue about what it takes to become an industry professional.
Discuss the different types of work available for theatrical costumers and fashion designers.
Examine the hard work that goes into making theatrical productions at Disney parks around the world shine.
See samples of elaborate Disney entertainment costume designs.

DANCE 101
Led by professional show directors and choreographers, these 90-minute high-energy workshops give dancers the opportunity to shine as they learn a Disney production number! Each ensemble receives valuable critique and learns the importance of the individual contribution to the overall success of the group, as they build toward a final performance. The students' efforts are rewarded at the end with a surprise review of their recorded pieces. Dance 101 is for all ability levels. 

DANCE 201
Led by professional show directors and choreographers, these 90-minute high-energy workshops give dancers the opportunity to shine as they learn a Disney production number! Each ensemble receives valuable critique and learns the importance of the individual contribution to the overall success of the group, as they build toward a final performance. The students' efforts are rewarded at the end with a surprise review of their recorded pieces. Dance 201 is for intermediate to advanced ensembles. 

DANCE TECHNIQUE: HIP-HOP and JAZZ
Designed for intermediate to advanced ensembles, these 90-minute workshops feature personalized instruction from some of the best choreographers in the world. Whether it's hip hop or jazz, you choose the style for your group to concentrate on, and we take it from there. Your choreographer will customize a course to your group's skill level and create rewarding challenges for all of its dancers.  Your group will discover what it's like to be a professional dancer as they:

Dance, alone and with others, while rehearsing and performing a Disney number.
Discuss performance concepts and fine-tune existing techniques.
Learn tricks of the trade that make for show-stopping performances. 

IMPROVISATIONAL ACTING
Designed for intermediate to advanced acting ensembles, this 90-minute workshop challenges students to stretch their creative talents in a non-threatening, supportive environment. Led by an improvisational actor, students learn through a variety of improv-based games how character and motivation enhance performances and lead to instinctual confidence. 

MUSICAL THEATRE
Created for intermediate to advanced musical theatre students, this premium 3-hour workshop takes an exclusive look at the Hyperion Theater's production of "Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular" to inspire and develop performance skills in dance, vocals, and acting. Students get a V.I.P. viewing of the production, engage in intimate backstage discussions with a show director and choreographer, and even perform a scene from the show. The workshop culminates with a recording and creative review of the scene. 

PERFORMANCE LAB
Created for performers of all abilities, this 90-minute workshop's goal is to achieve gratifying, consistent performances for any ensemble. Led by professional entertainers, the course takes students through fun, improvisational exercises to magnify key performance concepts, and ultimately rewards them with the tools to make both individual and collective performances shine. 

PUPPETRY
The art of bringing an inanimate object to life may be as old as the theatre itself, but at Disney it's everywhere you look! Using puppets and techniques from actual Disney productions, students of all ability levels will learn key performance concepts. This 90-minute hands-on workshop reinforces the basics for beginners, while allowing advanced performers to stretch their skills toward the potential of a career as a professional puppeteer. 

TECHNICAL THEATRE
Designed for intermediate to advanced technical theatre students, this premium 3-hour workshop takes an exclusive look at the Hyperion Theater's production of "Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular" to inspire the development of technical theatre skills. Students receive a backstage look at the show's special effects and technical equipment. The workshop culminates with a V.I.P. viewing of "Aladdin" where students experience a unique perspective of the show's technical complexities.
